Popular markets include the Hume Murray Farmers Market, Rutherglen Farmers Market and Mornington's Main Street Market, all famous for their diverse, high-quality fare.

Food and wine trails

Food and wine trails throughout the state are a great way to see the sights and experience the region's bountiful produce. Follow the Murray River's popular Farm Gate Trail as it winds through Victoria's famous 'food bowl'. Stop at orchards, dairies, wineries, and craft breweries to fill your basket as you travel. Hit the Yarra Valley Food Trail for tasty treasures and quaint country picnics, and then explore the Otway Harvest Trail to sample the best of Victoria's south east.

Festival delights

Make a weekend of it and immerse yourself in local produce at regional food festivals. Toast to the Coast, the Daylesford Macedon Produce and the High Country Harvest festivals are all great places to start.
