King Valley Drive, Bike, Taste

Fortify yourself at Chrismont where sleek architecture merges with earthy Italian hospitality. A warm Italian welcome is also on the menu at Pizzini Wines; sip prosecco and consider a class at À Tavola cooking school. Continue north to Whitfield and Dal Zotto Wines, a pioneer of Italian varietals in Victoria. Sample wines with antipasto in the trattoria then try your hand at bocce. The valley doesn't just do wine: King River Brewing is a short hop up the highway and uses pristine local water for its beer. Crank up the music for the 35km drive to Sam Miranda King Valley, where a pleasant cellar door and dining experience awaits. Leave the car at Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard where you can borrow a free bike, then pedal 2 kilometres to Gamze Smokehouse Restaurant for smoky ribs, a further 3 kilometres to Milawa Cheese Company, and complete the triangle to finish back at Brown Brothers. 60km
