Emergency relief & recovery centres

Emergency relief centres may be opened during an emergency. They will only be activated once the location and scale of an emergency is known. Once established, locations will be available by listening to local ABC Local Radio and commercial radio or by calling the Victorian Bushfire Information Line Ph 1800 240 667.

A relief centre is a place where you can get information and assistance in the event of an emergency. At the relief centre you can register yourself and your family on the National Registration and Inquiry System. This will help people to locate you.
