Episode 09: 6 April
This week on Postcards the team ventures across Victoria on the hunt for some great food, amazing accommodation and handy cooking tips. Glen visits three of Melbourne's best restaurants owned by some of Australia's most renowned chefs. Lauren visits the beautiful Kitty Miller Bay and stays at a beautiful B&B before visiting a modern art gallery. Brodie travels to Inverleigh to enjoy a culinary delight at Gladioli Restaurant and Shane is joined by guest host, Livinia Nixon who takes him to her favourite Prahran Market stalls before cooking him up a feast.
Spice Temple, Woodlands House and Hellenic Republic
Spice Temple at Crown is owned by celebrity chef Neil Perry. It is one of Melbourne's best Asian restaurants. The chefs here pride themselves on using only the best local and imported ingredients to produce Chinese creations ensuring this sleek venue is a favourite amongst Melbourne foodies.
Woodlands House is the new project created by two young chefs who trained under chef Jacques Reymond before joining forces to start their own restaurant. Although the venue has had a facelift and feels very different to the old Jacques, some of the magic still remains and the owners have certainly created something very special.
George Calombaris has opened his second Hellenic Republic restaurant in Kew. The combination of traditional Greek family style food made using only the finest produce matched with imported Greek wines is a proven winner. With movie themed graffiti on the walls in the restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, great food plus the upstairs function room, the new Hellenic is proving to be a huge success for the team.

Offering boutique self-contained accommodation with stunning views overlooking the bay, one of the best features of this B&B is the lovely deck where you can sit back, relax and watch the waves roll in.
Not far away, the Kelly and Gemelli Gallery in San Remo specializes in contemporary art. The current exhibition showcases work featuring sculptures made of glass, steel and electronics. The exhibitions change regularly and the owner and curator is an established artist himself. The café at Kelly and Gemelli Gallery has been integrated into the space beautifully and features design elements created by the owner which relate to the contemporary art that's on show in the gallery.

Inverleigh is a quiet farming hamlet west of Geelong and is home to Gladioli, a restaurant that was judged as the best new regional restaurant in The Age Good Food Guide. Located in a renovated weatherboard cottage with simple and comfortable décor, it's the chef's food that's turned this humble old homestead into a destination restaurant. You can't go past the multi-course tasting menu where the portions are small but the flavours are fantastic. Gladioli's chef also runs a cooking school where you can go behind the scenes and learn how to cook some of the best dishes served.
