Episode 01: Valentine's Day
Welcome to Postcards 2012, where we start the season with a lot of love for Saint Valentine's Day. This week, the team have some fantastic suggestions for how to spend some romantic time, no matter what day of the year.
The Odd Frog and Simone's of Bright
They say autumn is the season to visit Bright, but with its stunning scenery and amazing gourmet offerings, it's a perfect romantic getaway spot at any time. The Odd Frog is ideal if you're after a blissful bush-stay in a secluded and eco-friendly studio. With a dedication to green, the building materials used for the five self-contained studios were carefully selected to keep in tune with the environment, and there's solar powered hot water, natural wood fire heating and its clever design faces north for energy efficiency. Here, packages are rated with love hearts rather than stars, so if you're after a 5-heart experience, they can include a romantic dinner at iconic Simone's, which has been at the centre of this famous foodie district for more than 25 years.

Park Hyatt and Taxi
Park Hyatt Melbourne is an exclusive sanctuary where a romantic weekend getaway is in easy reach, behind Parliament House in the CBD. There are 240 luxury rooms and suites, but the Ambassador Suite is truly extravagant. It features a living room with a gas fireplace, dining room for six, a king bedroom, a study and an Italian marble bathroom with a jetted spa tub and inset TV. For even more indulgence, book in for a treatment or two at the Park Club Day Spa. Facials are the feature here with 14 on offer, many using exclusive Natura Bisse products.
For great dining in a great city spot, there's Taxi Dining Room at the Transport hotel. It's known for its money-shot views over the river, but there's also plenty of wow inside from the smart decor to the mouth-watering Japanese-inspired food from the open kitchen.

Hudson on Wombat, Hepburn Bathhouse and Sault
On top of Wombat Hill in Daylesford is Hudson on Wombat, an exclusive adults-only couples retreat that's only a 90-minute drive from Melbourne. No expense has been spared to make this place the epitome of accommodation luxury. Best of all, it's alongside the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens, which are perfect for those romantic sunset strolls.
To relax even more, head down the road to the historic Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa, which has been welcoming visitors since 1895 and draws mineral waters directly from the area's springs. Renovated in 2008, it's a magnificent day spa with treatments like facials, body scrubs and massages.
Once you're relaxed and reinvigorated, it's time for a meal and Sault is easily in one of the most picturesque spots in the area. Named after a lavender producing town north of Marseille, Sault is a Lavender farm and a beautiful restaurant that can also be booked for weddings and functions.
