Masons of Bendigo, Pondalowie Cellar and Store and The Woodhouse
Masons of Bendigo is a place that is putting Bendigo on the map as a serious foodie destination. At Masons it's all about having the producers deliver the food right to the door. If you want to get a little taste for what the region has to offer in terms of wine, head to the new Pondalowie Cellar and Store on View Street.
Just around the corner from Pondalowie is The Woodhouse, another newcomer to Bendigo having just opened in February of 2012. This warm and welcoming restaurant focuses on locally sourced meats and gourmet pizzas.

Fittingly located within Melbourne's Spanish precinct in Fitzroy, Los Amates has been serving authentic Mexican cuisine since 2002. Trying to get people out of gringo habits, the restaurant regularly holds tequila tasting nights, explaining the complexity of different varieties and their best accompaniments.
In Richmond, Fonda Mexican embodies the philosophy 'My house is your house' or 'Mi Casa, Su Casa'. Opening late last year the funky and fresh eatery combines a menu of Mexican flavours with a touch of Melbourne trendiness.
One other place that is a must try foodie destination is Sinoritas. Located in Myers Place in the city, it's a Nuevo addition to the Melbourne's Mexican landscape. From salsas to desserts and everything in between, the menu travels through the regions of Mexico.
