Spring time in Melbourne is synonymous with its internationally celebrated racing carnival, and Caulfield Racecourse, located just twenty minutes from the CBD, plays a key part. It hosts several major meets which culminate with the Caulfield Cup being held on Saturday October 20 this year. The first group one race of the Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival is the Underwood Stakes, where you can expect to see the four legged stars out in force, as well as a few familiar faces in the grandstand. This hallowed turf is steeped in over 150 years of history and one of the long standing traditions from more modern times is the Face of Caulfield competition.
