Prepare to tantalise your tastebuds at the Mitchell Multicultural Festival. As part of Cultural Diversity Week, Mitchell Shire Council is hosting the free event at Hadfield Park in Wallan to showcase the municipality’s rich diversity.The evening’s menu will include food trucks from across the globe including Sunday Creek Southern BBQ, Yo India, White guy cooks Thai, Just like Nonna's and Kalloni little dessert island just to name a few.There will also be live entertainment from The Kilmore International School students including Korean dancers, Indian performers and instrumental groups as well as African Drummers and Indigenous groups. There will be plenty of activities for all ages including henna tattooing, face painting, jumping castle and more. The African Drumming and Aboriginal Groups will also be providing interactive workshops for attendees to take part and join in the fun.The festival is coordinated by the Mitchell Shire Community Development team in partnership with Victoria Police, FamilyCare and Kilmore District Health and has been funded by the Victorian Multicultural Commission/Multicultural Affairs and Social Cohesion division.
