Hiking with purpose
For a serious walk, join the Great Dividing Trail as it passes through the region via the Federation Track from Ballarat to Daylesford, Dry Diggings Track from Daylesford to Castlemaine and the Lerderderg Track from Daylesford to Blackwood.

If you are looking for a gentle stroll there are plenty of easy walks around picturesque country towns such as Daylesford, Kyneton and Sunbury. Wander around the parks and gardens in Mount Macedon, or take a quiet stroll around Lake Daylesford.
