The Geelong Ballroom dance club was established in 1984. Its committee leases the multi-purpose facility, known as The Ballroom.

It has the joint responsibility of organizing a weekly dance for ballroom dancers, as well as managing the facility for dance classes and practice and members of the wider community who rent rooms for a range of group activities and social events.

The Geelong Ballroom holds ballroom dances every Saturday night from 8:00pm to 11:00pm in the large comfortable venue located on the Corner of Bayview Parade and Carey Street, Hamlyn Heights, next door to the tennis courts. The group is very welcoming and generally has about 60 to 80 people attending. There is a variety of music each week, from live music, to enthusiastic dance instructors putting together a great cross section of CD music.

The night is great fun and of course dancing enhances social and physical well-being and stimulates good mental health.
