Music at the Basilica presents Vox Angelica Geelong Chamber Choir in concert.

'How Shall We Sing in a Strange Land', is a meditation through beautiful music for Holy Week at St Mary’s Basilica. It includes works by Bach, Casals, Durufle, Gabrieli, Moya Henderson, Moses Hogan, Karl Jenkins, Lotti, Lachlan McDonald, Monteverdi and Joseph Twist.

Vox Angelica Geelong Chamber Choir, directed by Tom Healey, had its first concert in 2016, having grown out of Vox Angelica, a women’s vocal octet formed some years, which performed in Melbourne and Geelong. It is an auditioned choir of 20 experienced choristers singing mainly a cappella music in four to eight parts and aiming to complement the growing choral and vocal ensemble scene in Geelong.
