Sale Lakes and Wetlands Trail

Ride around Sale enjoying lakes Guthridge and Guyatt, the Botanical Gardens and the Sale Common wetlands. Stop for a lakeside picnic and look for the bird hide near the eastern end of the boardwalk and the information shelters along the way.

Track: Generally smooth dirt or gravel track
Grade: Level 1 – No experience required, suitable for beginners and children
Start: Lake Guthridge car park, Foster Street, Sale
Finish: Lake Guthridge car park, Foster Street, Sale
Note: The Flooding Creek Track section of the wetlands can be muddy in wet weather, so is only suitable for mountain bikes at those times.
Getting there: Travel via Monash Freeway (M1) and Princes Highway (A1) to Sale approximately 216km east of Melbourne. Near the town centre you will reach a roundabout, head straight through the roundabout and turn right immediately afterwards into the car park.
