Discover a variety of flora and magnificent rainforest along the magnificent Bemm River.
Begin your journey with sweeping views of the mighty Snowy River from Mt Raymond Lookout near Orbost, then head to Cabbage Tree Creek Flora Reserve, home to Victoria's only indigenous palm.
Wind your way through the back roads to Bemm River Bridge. Bemm River and its tributaries are Victorian heritage rivers, supporting some of the state's best rainforest with a near continuous occurrence of cool and warm temperate rainforest from 1200-metre elevation to close to sea level. Detour into Bemm River township for some excellent fishing, to Cann River township for access to Croajingolong National Park, or continue onto Lind National Park for the scenic Euchre Valley Nature Drive.
Bemm River Scenic Reserve and Rainforest Walk features an easy one-kilometre walk for an introduction to East Gippsland's Warm Temperate Rainforest. Return to Orbost and conclude your tour.
