Overview

Traralgon

Amble along the wide tree-lined streets, beautiful gardens and spacious parklands of the Latrobe Valley's largest city. As the region's entertainment capital, Traralgon is flush with alfresco dining options and a thriving pub and club scene.

History abounds

See remnants of the gold rush years reflected in the architecture of the town: the Traralgon Post Office, Ryans Hotel and Ostler House. Traralgon has grown to service Victoria's energy, and the local surrounding agricultural, pastoral, papermaking and timber industries.

Big nights

Sidewalk cafes, restaurants and shopping arcades mark the commercial centre of Traralgon. Frock up and enjoy a dinner to remember at Neilsons Kitchen, tuck into worldwide tapas at Little Prince Eating House and Bar, or cruise out to the famous Narkojee Winery for a lavish Italian lunch.

Choose from a string of bars, pubs and clubs in the town that host an array of live bands and entertainment. Time your visit to coincide with a popular musical or comedy act at the Latrobe Performing Arts Centre.

Faces in the trees

Picnickers flock to Victory Park with its marble sculpture Lars Compatalis, historic band rotunda and beautiful gardens. A stroll over the creek along the footbridge leads to Newman Park featuring a huge adventure playground including miniature train rides that operate the fourth Sunday of every month.
