Trestle Bridge Long Lunch, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia
Show map

There are a wealth of events on the Gippsland calendar to choose from including golf and racing days, music festivals and agricultural celebrations. And, for the foodies, the towns around Wilsons Promontory and Central Gippsland offer a host of food and wine events showcasing the exceptional produce of the region.

Flavours of Gippsland
Visit during the Gippsland Food and Wine Festival when the hills really do come alive with the tastes of local produce. Indulge at the Palate of Passions in West Gippsland or treat yourself to a dizzying array of local flavours and music at the Inverloch Food and Wine Festival.

Art attack
For the art fiends, a visit during the Be inspired! Festival is a must. Here you'll find the work of local and international artists, sculptors, designers and musicians on show. And if you're looking for something creative for the kids, head to the Mirboo North Arty Gras for three days of art, music and community activities.

Melody pops
If music's what you love, time your visit to coincide with the Paynesville, Inverloch, Moe or Boolarra jazz festivals. Catch the best of local talent as well as well-known Australian musical acts. Other great music festivals include Bruthen Blues and the Mossvale Music Festival.

Sporting types
And adrenaline junkies need not despair. Mt Baw Baw offers many snow-capped events during the annual ski season. Try curling, snow-shoeing or cross country skiing. Alternatively, if you're more comfortable saddled into a bike, the Mt Baw Baw Classic is a must for cyclists.
