Josephine Jakobi: Halocline Lake Tyers

03 1513 1988

21 Jul 2017, 22 Jul 2017

The waters of Lake Tyers are teeming with life. These canvasses have each been immersed in those waters for a month; a lunar cycle. They have absorbed and recorded the living response to our planetary path around the sun.

This is the story of life within an estuary, told through a process of art making: the life and death cycles that rise and fall with the changes of the water from brackish to fresh to saline.
