Inverloch is located on Anderson Inlet and great beach fishing is available. Try for King George whiting, Australian salmon, mullet and silver trevally from one of the many sheltered beaches. Boating on the inlet is also a great way to access some good fishing spots. The nearby Tarwin River is a great spot to catch bream with its accessible fishing platforms.
Wet a line for flathead, salmon, tailor, whiting and trevally at Anderson Inlet and Venus Bay − great for families and surf anglers.
From the shores of this coastal village you can find the popular flathead, or try your surf rig on snapper and gummy sharks. Port Welshpool gives you access to whole of the Corner Inlet by boat. Make sure you don't fish in the protected zone.
Ninety Mile Beach and surrounds are popular at night during winter when fishing is at its best, but also great on warm days with your feet in the surf. You can lure fish and bait fish. Try a basic surf rig with a little berley to bring the fish during a rising tide.
This port provides access not only to Bass Strait but to 220 square kilometres of sheltered estuaries. As a launching place for large boats capable of handling the Bass Strait weather, Port Albert is ideally located. Offshore targets include yellowtail kingfish when they are running.
