Gippsland High Country Tours

Gippsland High Country Tour's short break walking holiday includes lots of time exploring nature plus two full days of easy-moderate grade walking, all starting as you step out the door of your well appointed guesthouse room. Fresh air, peace and quiet, good walks and great company, what more could you ask for?

After a day of energetic walking, return tired but re-vitalised and choose to relax on your balcony with a good book or soak away the aches in a deep bath. Decisions, decisions! Birds and wildlife are regular visitors to the garden, the river and the bush beyond. Finally finish off the day with another delightful meal served in the ambience of the dining room.

Spoil yourself with a little luxury while enjoying four days exploring the foothills around the beautiful Nicholson River valley, north of Bairnsdale.

Spring departures feature wildflowers and your guide will share lots of knowledge of wildlife seen and heard plus some fascinating local history with you.

This tour includes three nights first class accommodation and meals at Waterholes Guest House and a focus on walking to enjoy the forest, its wildlife and the amazing history of the area.
