The Ballarat Beer festival is a family friendly festival filled with Australia's leading craft beer brewers, a great range of live bands, children's activities, many gourmet food trucks and craft beer master classes.

Recently voted the third most popular craft beer festival in Australia, Ballarat Beer Festival moves to a new venue in 2018. Situated on the western banks of Lake Wendouree, the new site offers plenty of natural shade from the abundant trees, and a magnificent view of lake to towards the city.

With shade aplenty and the lake offering a cooling respite to the summer heat, this is the perfect day to round up your mates, grab a picnic blanket and take in over 15,000 square metres of lakeside beer action.

A boulevard of brewers will offer a kaleidoscope of tastes and flavours – take your pick from over 150 different brews from across Australia and around the world.

The 2018 Ballarat Beer Festival is held on the Saturday, January 20th and is preceded by a degustation dinner on the prior Friday night, which each course matched with beers or a cider, and is hosted by the inimitable Professor Pilsner, Pete Mitcham and Beer Diva, Kirrily Waldhorn.
