Patchwork to Pickles: Traditional Arts Fair

Designed to showcase and celebrate traditional arts, there will be demonstrations of weaving and spinning, lacemaking, embroidery, cooking, printmaking, bonsai, floristry and much more at the Traditional Arts Fair.

For the garden lovers, there will be plant sales in the wonderful Buda Nursery, together with exhibitions and demonstrations of bonsai, floristry and indigenous plant propagation by expert Frances Cincotta of Newstead Natives.

“Buda Unlocked Tours” of the historic house throughout the day: Buda Art Collection, Creative Life of the Leviny Family and Stories of Leviny Family Life. Tickets to these tours will be available for presale before the fair. Stay tuned for details.

There will be traditional children's activities including a fairy garden in Buda's beautiful garden.

Delicious homemade food at the Buda Tearoom, gourmet barbecue, Hey Presto Espresso coffee, Icecream Social and the best of the region's beer and wine. Traditional Hungarian dancing and local bands and performers throughout the day.

Lucky door prizes include gift vouchers for Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar. A raffle to win a stunning quilt will be drawn on the day.

Entry to the Castlemaine Traditional Arts Fair is by gold coin donation.
