Don’t hibernate through winter. Shake off your blues and come and experience the sultry sounds of Gypsy Fire featuring Matthew Fagan on unique ten-string Spanish guitar and amazing Czech violinist Romana Geermans.

It is also a 20th Anniversary celebration performance for Matthew Fagan's album Indigo Moon which featured Gypsy Fire.

This will be a truly special program featuring Vivaldi, Paganini, French Gypsy Jazz, Celtic and Flamenco Highlights from Indigo Moon and O’Carolan’s Celtic harp and lute music all performed with passion, renewed vigour and virtuosity.

Romana Geermans(nee Mazalnova), born in Prague, was the youngest member of the renowned Czechoslovak Chamber Orchestra at the age of 15 and toured with them for seven years. Romana studied under Prof Dr Otoka Stejskal and graduated from Prague Conservatorium completing her post graduate studies in 1982, including a year studying gypsy music.

Matthew Fagan has long been established as one of Australia’s finest exponents of the guitar. Matthew has toured with Billy Connolly, The Buena Vista Social Club, Shirley Bassey,

Natalie Cole and Michael Crawford. Matthew’s virtuosic rendition of Bach’s famous Toccata in D Minor featured on ABC Television.
