Defy Winter's worst and journey someplace warm and wonderful.

Ballarat LoungeRoom Jazz is regional Victoria's leading showcase of quality contemporary and improvisational jazz, presenting nationally- and internationally-recognised artists in an intimate supperclub setting.

Featuring a full night of free contemporary and improvisational music, fuelled by delicious food and drink from select LoungeRoom vendors, Ballarat LoungeRoom Jazz will take you far, far away from the everyday.

Presented by the City of Ballarat as part of the Ballarat Winter Festival, the 2017 Ballarat LoungeRoom Jazz session brings you:

Adam Simmons' 'Ornette by Origami' - Special tribute to the explorations of jazz pioneer Ornette Coleman.

Paige Duggan Quartet - Steeped in chance and passion, improvisational vocals exploring the hidden places of each song.

Michael Westlake Trio - Latin and swing-inspired jazz originals served with a taste of electronica and soupcon of humour.

Josh Woods - Solo saxophonist who colours outside the lines and riffs on the influences of jazz and funk legends Maceo Parker, James Brown and Richard Elliot.
