Goldfields Way Touring Route

Take the scenic route between Ballarat and Bendigo. This easy-to-navigate (just follow the road signs) touring route takes you to heritage sites, natural attractions and the historic townships of Creswick, Clunes, Talbot, Maryborough and Dunolly.

Regional flavours

Wine and food lovers can discover fabulous food and sample varieties of wine from all across the region on the five Taste of Gold trails: Central Goldfields, Maldon and Beyond, Castlemaine, Mt Alexander, Coliban Bridge and Kyneton.

Beyond the Goldfields

If you're travelling from interstate or you have time to roam further, consider following the Sydney Melbourne Heritage Drive up through the Goldfields and on to the Murray River region. Alternatively, hit the Great Southern Touring Route, which takes you along Victoria’s rugged south coast to the iconic 12 Apostles.
