Springtime Party at Mount Mitchell

04 00 899 075

Until 23 Oct 2016

Enjoy a day in the country.

The historic National Trust listed Mount Mitchell property will be hosting a springtime party this October.

The magnificent grounds of Mount Mitchell est. 1838, will become a beautiful setting for family and friends to get together and enjoy wonderful Pyrenees wine, local produce, live music, entertainers, historic tours of the estate, spectacular art exhibitions and numerous children's activities.

The National Trust listed stables and the rose garden will become exhibition spaces, with local artists Mary Van den Broek, Lucy McEachern, Julie Bennett and Margie Delahunty Spencer, showcasing their work.

Although the homestead is not open to the public (as it is a private residence), numerous outbuildings within the estate, extensive kitchen and formal gardens, beautiful views of the Mount Mitchell Lake and the Pyrenees Ranges create great interest to visitors. Mount Mitchell has a wonderful history, including it's association with architect Charles Webb, merino wool, the gold rush, famous explorers and prominent owners.
