0400 899 075

22 Apr 2017

The National Trust listed property Mount Mitchell, will open its grounds as part of the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival.

Historic tours of the estate will be conducted by the current owner on the hour, commencing at 10:00am.
Throughout the day, regional specialists will showcase their expertise.

Renowned chef, Peter Ford, will be conducting culinary experiences throughout the day, within the extensive kitchen gardens. Taltarni Winery will also be running wine appreciation workshops and Peter Kervarac from Ballarat Photography will engage participants in portrait classes. A subsequent competition for the best portrait, will engage the crowds.

As each workshop has limited numbers, participants need to pre-purchase tickets through the Pyrenees Unearthed Festival website prior to the event.

The impressive Pyrenees Historic Vehicle Club will display their cars within the 10 acres of formal gardens.
Art spaces will be created throughout the historic stable block, showcasing wonderful regional talent.
Refreshments of Pyrenees wine, beer and soft drink will be available, with scrumptious Devonshire tea and coffee being served in the Mt Mitchell Cottage gardens.

Bring a picnic, enjoy a barbecue, meet with friends for the day, explore the historic outbuildings and beautiful gardens, while the children climb trees and play on the lawns.
