Time your trip with local events to sample the best of the Grampians region's food and wine, arts, sports and great outdoors. Pace yourself for the Stawell Gift, raise a toast at the Grape Escape, frock up for the Avoca Cup, and get a feel for the region's creative side at arts events throughout the year.

The famous Stawell Gift
Come at Easter for the famous Stawell Easter Gift. Held every year since 1878, the meet is renowned internationally as a leading professional foot race. For amateur runners, the annual Run The Gap in May offers a range of track lengths, taking in the Grampians National Park and stunning Lake Bellfield.

Fine regional food and wine events
Foodies should head directly to the Grampians Grape Escape Food and Wine Festival in May, a wonderful celebration of local food and wine and music set against the spectacular backdrop of the Grampians National Park.

Stop at farmers markets in regional towns to fill your basket with locally grown produce.

Spring racing
Get your glad rags on for the Avoca Cup in October, and enjoy the fantastic food, wine and track-side entertainment of one of country Victoria's largest spring racing meetings.

Sample the region's artistic side at arts events throughout the year and look out for events in the great outdoors for unforgettable Grampians experiences.
