The Clark Rubber Australian Kelpie Muster celebrates Casterton’s claim as the birthplace of the Australian Working Kelpie dog breed. The original 'Kelpie' was born at Warrock Station, north of Casterton, in the 1870’s.

The festival is filled with fun activities, celebrating and demonstrating the Kelpies’ amazing skills. Past years included attractions such as the Poets Breakfast, Kelpie Country Street Parade, RMA Working Dog Futurity, Kelpie Dash, Kelpie High Jump, Kelpie Hill climb, Kelpie Pinball and Stockman's Challenge.

The working dog auction attracts national interest and provides a unique chance to observe superior working dogs demonstrate their skills before sale. The auction is firmly placed on the calendar of working dog breeders and buyers, with breeders from all over Australia showcasing their bloodlines. Amazingly high prices are fetched for Kelpies at the auction, with figures in the thousands for a single dog.

The Working Dog school is conducted by a renowned trainer and bookings prior to the event are essential.
