Great Ocean Road

From world-class surfing and ocean swims to folk music, fine wine and seafood, the Great Ocean Road region hosts a diverse range of festivals and events.

Seaside action

Make your way to Bells Beach for the Rip Curl Pro, the world's longest running professional surfing event and one of the most sought after titles on the World Championship Tour.

Prefer to be in the game? There are plenty of challenging options for fitness fans. Get amongst the 4,000 people taking part in the Lorne Pier to Pub, the world's largest open water swim. Test your stamina on the Great Ocean Road Marathon or push even harder on the gruelling 100 kilometre Surf Coast Century course. Cyclists will love the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race, with its concept inspired by the prestigious Spring Classics of Europe.

The good life

Celebrate the best of the region at Toast to the Coast, held at wineries on the Surfcoast as well as The Bellarine Peninsula and Moorabool Valley. The Apollo Bay Seafood Festival brings everyone together for a family-friendly day of music, entertainment and scrumptious seafood.

Usher in the new year at the Falls Festival with local and international stars, and discover the magic of the Port Fairy Folk Festival – a four-day celebration of folk, blues, jazz and country music held in March.
