Experienced walkers will appreciate the challenge of this river, with its frequent river crossings over stones and fallen logs. Follow the Erskine River downstream to the natural amphitheatre of the Sanctuary before reaching the Rapids and the tidal section of the river mouth at Lorne. Note that the track is slippery when wet.

Duration: 2–3 hours
Start: Erskine Falls car park
Finish: Lorne Foreshore Caravan Park
Note: This walk is only recommended for experienced walkers. There are many river crossings and this walk should not be attempted when the river is high.
