Australia day in the rural city of Wangaratta is a chance for towns to celebrate what’s great about Australia.

Boorhaman recreational reserve, 8:30am free community breakfast, flag raising and presentation.

Carboor hall - 6:30pm barbeque, children's activities, flag lowering and speeches.

Cheshunt Hall - 6.30pm barbeque.

Eldorado Memorial Hall - 6:30pm dinner, flag lowering, children's gold nugget hunt and classic car display.

Everton hall - 8:00am breakfast, speeches, flag raising, presentation and games.

Glenrowan Lions Park - 10:00am breakfast, speeches and flag raising.

Greta/ Hansonville hall - 10.00am flag raising, presentation and morning tea. viewing of memorabilia and heritage artifacts.

Hamilton park, Kurrajong lane barbeque area - 9:00am barbeque breakfast, flag raising and presentations.

Milawa, John Mcaleese community park - 6.30pm presentation and local awards, lowering of the flag, entertainment and barbeque.

Moyhu lions park - 8:30am breakfast, flag raising, award presentations.

Murmungee, old Murmungee hall - 7:30am breakfast, flag raising, presentation and activities.

Peechelba bushland reserve - 8:30am flag raising, presentation and breakfast.

Springhurst Community Hall - 5:00pm children's activities, dinner and awards ceremony.

Tarrawingee hall - 7:30 am breakfast, speeches and awards.

Whorouly recreation reserve - 9:00am flag raising, presentations, barbecue and activities.
