0472 997 880

4 - 5 Nov 2017

Come to the Yea district and visit Mareeba - one of two gardens being opened by Open Gardens Victoria. Mareeba is a garden of magnificent mature trees and offers an exciting mix of exotic and Australian specimens.

The garden has a towering sequoia, Dawn Redwood, Mexican Pine and a range of fine oaks. There are maples, elms, birches, taxodiums and cedar. Majestic Yellow Box are found in the farmyard with Mahogany Gums, grand melaleucas and twisting trunks of tea tree.

However the garden is not just about trees. Roses feature throughout garden beds, there is a dry garden and a woodland garden where shrubs lie beneath the sculptured trunks of the melaleucas and grevilleas.

A vegetable garden and orchard are taking shape with 16 beds of rotating crops and 40 fruit trees. Come and relax at Mareeba, an attractive, peaceful and productive garden.

Morning and afternoon teas will be available.
