Happy Wanderer Festival is a small, boutique music festival held on a family farm in Benalla in Victoria’s High Country. It is a proudly family-friendly event where people relax, meet new friends, discover fantastic musicians and enjoy the farm.

Established in 2013, the festival is held over the Melbourne Cup weekend and boasts a line-up of music and workshops in a gorgeous bush setting. There are several picturesque campgrounds where people stay over the three-night festival, overlooking the river and beside the vineyard.

A keen supporter of up-and-coming local music, Happy Wanderer Festival’s line-ups feature emerging and established acts from a mix of genres including singer-songwriters, soul, blues and roots, folk, alt-country, art-pop and electronic. It’s not unusual to see artists who have performed at the festival taking the stage at larger festivals in the year following their Happy Wanderer appearance.
