Toast the High Country as top local restaurants and wineries present the ultimate blend of regional eating and drinking at events like the Beechworth Harvest Celebration in May or the Rutherglen Winery Walkabout over the June Queen's Birthday weekend.

Join the King Valley's winemaking families for the June Weekend Fit for a King, or mark the arrival of spring at La Dolce Vita in November.

Country celebrations

Celebrate the region's country character alongside locals at annual extravaganzas like the Mansfield High Country Festival, the Man from Snowy River Bush Festival and Bright's Autumn Festival, which showcases the town's glorious seasonal colours.

Music lovers will not want to miss the Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and Blues in November, when the town is taken over by jazz fans and artists from around Australia and across the world.

Adventure and action

Take on the challenge of the International Kangaroo Hoppet XC Ski Race at Falls Creek in August and head to Bright in January to see top cyclists tackle tough climbs in the Audax Alpine Classic.
