Appreciate the proud maritime history of Williamstown, which was established in 1837 as Melbourne's first port. Visit the Williamstown Maritime Museum at Gem Pier, and set sail on the Enterprise, the first vessel to carry European settlers up the Yarra.

How to get there
Williamstown is approximately 15 minutes from Melbourne via the West Gate Freeway. Ferries leave from berth 1, Southgate and depart daily at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm. The trip takes approximately 1 hour.

Williamstown is a 30-minute train journey from Flinders Street Station, the last station on the Williamstown line.  You may be required to change trains at Footscray or Newport Station. The 472 bus from Footscray will also take you to Williamstown North.
