An exhibition celebrating the life of the much loved Cartoonist, Ron Tandberg through a selection of cartoons from his latest book, A Year of Madness - The Tandberg Collection.

Tandberg began producing cartoons for metropolitan newspapers in 1972 when the great Graham Perkin decided to use his work as an integral part of the layout of the front page of The Age. His insightful cartoons cut through to the essence of the big news stories of the day with razor-like humour. Tandberg's work has been recognised with eleven Walkley awards, including two Gold Walkleys.

The book is a collection of Ron's 2017 cartoons for The Age. It was a year unlike any other: the world saw Donald Trump in the White House, Cardinal George Pell return to Australia, asylum seekers making front page news again, newspapers under threat, political spin doctors, and much more. Contained in these pages are this multi-award-winning cartoonist's take on the people and moments that defined the year.

Also included is a visual presentation of interviews with Ron, showing him discussing his favourite subjects and how he drew them along with a Condolence Book available for the public to pay tribute to this adored Australian icon.
