Open Williamstown looks to explore a unique collection of houses with both architectural and historic merit in Williamstown, Melbourne's original seaport.

The event showcases the historical and architectural significance of Williamstown, Melbourne’s first port and one of its oldest and most interesting suburbs. It also celebrates the lifestyle and emerging modern architecture that make this seaside town culturally significant.

It gives people the chance to enjoy Williamstown’s diverse beauty while supporting a great cause; all event profits are donated to Cancer Council Victoria for cancer research.

In 2017, Open Williamstown displayed a diverse set of properties from a rare Californian bungalow to a quirky home renovated tardis style. The event was fortunate to have the award winning Captain’s Retreat open to display its charm and history. The event was based at the Williamstown Town Hall, again acting as the event hub in 2018.

Since the inaugural event in 2015, Open Williamstown has raised a total of $30,000 for the Cancer Council Victoria enabling them to establish the Open Williamstown Research Grant.
