Join South Wharf’s Common Man and Meat Market for Carnecopia, a collaborative afternoon event celebrating the precinct’s love of barbecued cuisine as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. With so many different ways of barbecuing meats there’s something for everyone, from the classic charcoal barbecue to the offset smoker which has made it’s way to Australia via the southern states of the US.

On Sunday 9 April, the joint forces of Common Man and Meat Market and friends from across the river – Fancy Hanks, will pay homage to all cuts of meat, all kinds of cooking methods and all the ways we enjoy eating it, promising abundant, delicious dishes fit for any carnivore.

Showcasing beautiful Flinders Island Meats by slow cooking and coal grilling, slathering in hot sauce and dipping in chimichurri to pack some punch, Carnecopia promises to excite the tastebuds of Melbourne’s most devoted barbecue lovers.

Guests will also enjoy the autumn air and a good old riverside barbeque with friends and family at this year’s meet of meats.
