15 Jul 2017

In between dropping diss tracks about flat earth theories and tweeting about Trump’s disastrous science and arts policies, world renowned astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson is finding time to visit Australia in July 2017 in Neil deGrasse Tyson: A Cosmic Perspective.

Having left audiences hungry for more after his 2015 tour, An evening with Dr Neil deGrasse Tyson, Tyson is back to discuss the implications of A.I., the potential for another Space Race and the implications of encountering alien life. He will also be considering the role of scientific literacy in the era of ‘alternative facts’.

Doors open at 6:00pm for a 7:00pm start. This event will consist of a 40-minute conversation with a local host followed by an audience Q and A. The event ends at 8:30pm.

The meet and greet will take place after the main event within the same venue. Ticket holders will be asked to remain in their seats after the event to be directed to the Meet and Greet area. The Meet and Greet ends at 9:50pm.

Before purchasing, please review your ticket choice as all student tickets require a student ID. There will be merchandise sold at the event, including t-shirts and posters.
