SalamFest Muslim Arts Festival

0423 085 422

24 - 26 Nov 2017

Salamfest is a family-friendly Muslim arts festival which captures the true message of Islam – 'Peace, Love and Compassion'. It is an opportunity for communities to engage and connect with everyday Muslims through the sharing of stories, values, arts, culture and cuisine encapsulating the spirit of multiculturalism that Victoria is renowned for.

The objective of the festival is to invite people from all walks of life to celebrate and explore new cultures and enjoy the long-standing artistic talents entrenched in the 70+ diverse ethnicities represented under the Muslim umbrella.

There will be Whirling Dervishes, Sufi chanting, fusion instrumentals, films, poetry, Rumi recitals, masterclasses, workshops and much more, including the spectacular SalamFeast - a 250-person dining experience along the front of the State Library Victoria catered by Moroccan Soup Bar.
