Dandenong Market is celebrating Waitangi Day on Sunday 11 February (10:00am to 4:00pm) with traditional New Zealand and Pacific street food, live performances and free tā moko face painting for market visitors.

The event will feature a dozen food trucks and market stalls selling New Zealand and Islander food, clothing and jewellery.

Visitors will be wowed by traditional kapa haka performance by Te Hononga O Nga Iwi and a demonstration of the awe-inspiring martial art of mau rakau by Te Ara Hononga.

Visitors can also shake their hips to live performances from Soul Purpose Band and Brand New Bag who will keep it funky and fresh.

Visitors can also have their faces painted in the traditional tā moko style.

All entertainment and activities are free. Free entry. Free parking.
