The Medibank Melbourne Marathon Festival will celebrate its 40th birthday on Sunday, 15 October 2017. As one of Australia’s largest marathons, the event attracts over 30,000 participants seeking to challenge themselves and conquer their goals. Drawing people from across the globe, the festival allows participants to run past some of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks like Flinders Street Station, the Botanic Gardens and Albert Park Lake before the ultimate finish - a lap on the hallowed turf of Victoria’s famous MCG.Runners of all ages and fitness levels are able to participate in one of five distances including, the ASICS three kilometre Walk, ASICS 5.7 kilometre Run and the ten kilometre Run to the Half Marathon (21.1 kilometre) and the 42.195 kilometre Medibank Melbourne Marathon.Participants are encouraged to fund raise for premier charity partner CPEC or associate charities JMB Foundation, Australian Red Cross, Heart Foundation and the Cathy Freeman Foundation.Register now before a price rise on August 30 for the best possible entry price.
