Meyers Place was at the vanguard of Melbourne's hole-in-the-wall laneway bar revolution. Constructed by Melbourne design gurus Six Degrees more than 20 years ago from deconstructed timber, shag carpet and cast-off curios, it's a cosy, dimly lit drinking institution. Open late most nights, the bar offers a concise drinks menu, keeping it simple with tap beer and cider, and a limited range of spirits and wines. The coveted outside table is ideal for watching the Place's passing parade.
