After a couple of years in the wilderness following a fire that destroyed the original building, St Kilda’s iconic Stokehouse is back – bigger, bolder and brighter than ever. The new digs boast a three-tier offering: fish and chips from a kiosk on the beach side (Paper Fish), seafood, ribs and easy-share plates from the casual grill restaurant (Pontoon), and refined dining upstairs, complete with uninterrupted views of the water (Stokehouse). Whether you’re wearing board shorts and thongs or you’re frocked up for a night on the town, you’ll feel right at home. Take a seat at Pontoon’s 18-metre bar, sip a cocktail or a frozé (frozen rosé wine), and see where the night takes you.
