Malthouse Theatre is a contemporary theatre company based in Melbourne. Malthouse Theatre champion artistic and cultural diversity and seek out alternative points of view. For over 40 years, Malthouse Theatre have fanned the flames of Melbourne’s radical culture, exerting significant influence on the city’s artistic community.

Malthouse Theatre are based in a dedicated venue, The Coopers Malthouse: a historic beer-making malthouse built in 1892. Gifted to the Victorian State Government in 1986, it has now been converted into an agile and contemporary theatre complex, comprising three theatres, rehearsal rooms, a bespoke workshop and offices. Of course, there is also the Box Office, the Coopers Malthouse Bar and a buzzing Café to make your experience at Malthouse Theatre a memorable.
