Most weekends you'll find Ewan or Maitena at their cellar door, taking you through a relaxed tasting. They love chatting to people about their wines, as well as wine making and grape growing in general. Both are happy to share their knowledge, about things as simple as how a red wine is made, through to complex questions about clones and soil chemistry. Ask any question you can imagine.The cellar door is open every weekend. Over the warmer months cheese platters are available or you can bring your own picnic. Usually open on public holidays, and by appointment at other times- just give us a call.Phaedrus Estate was established in 1997, when owners Ewan Campbell and Maitena Zantvoort were finishing their wine-making degrees with the University of Adelaide. They headed to the Mornington Peninsula with a passion to make world class Pinot Noir. Almost twenty years later they are still enjoying the challenge of making Pinot Noir and other cool climate varietal wines which are well loved by their regular customers as well as new tasters.
