Overview

Restaurants & cafes

With so many renowned farms, dairies, orchards and vineyards, it's no wonder the Murray region boasts some of Victoria's best dining destinations. Thanks to Mildura chef Stefano de Pieri, and his Gondola on the Murray book and television series, many visitors have discovered the wide variety of fine food and wine in the Mildura and wider Murray regions.

Gourmet tour of the Murray

Take a cruise aboard the reclaimed paddle steamer Rothbury and head to Trentham Estate, a boutique winery on the banks of the Murray. More in the mood for pub grub? Embark at Gol Gol Hotel for hearty pub fare river views.

For 360-degree views of the river, set aside the afternoon for a relaxing lunch on the M.V. Mary Ann or paddle-steamer Emmylou.

Venturing out

Make a day of it and venture further afield. Visit the iconic Mildura Brewery for a craft brew or two. Seek out The Green Zebra while in Albury Wodonga or enjoy a Thai feast at the tropical resort-style Java Spice in Swan Hill.
