Alpine Ascent - Mt Baw Baw

Tour operated by:

Happy Trails Cycling Adventures

The Seven Peak Ride is an awesome physical and mental achievement; it is also a challenge in logistics.

Mt Baw Baw is possibly the hardest climb with gradients up to 20%, with an average of 11.4%, yet it is the shortest climb. It is also the hardest one to complete because of the travel distance and costs just to get there.

Happy Trails have created a weekend for riders wanting to complete the full Seven Peak rides.

Then you will leave Wodonga on Friday evening after work and stay at Dinner Plain overnight with a good country pub dinner.

On Saturday you will be driven to Rawson, where the group will begin their ascent of Mt Baw Baw.

A steady warm up climb before the steep ascent to Mt Baw Baw, then downhill all the way back to Rawson.

It is a long way to go to just ride six and a half kilometre, that's why we have planned a weekend to help you complete all the fantastic Seven Peak rides.

Happy Trails Cycling Adventures rides are carefully planned for route safety, accommodation, challenges and experiences.

Their rides are set to challenge the average rider on a journey and experience that they would normally not be able to do themselves,

Rides take place in Victoria’s High Country and feature peaks like Mt Hotham (1850 metres), Falls Creek (1500 metres), Dinner Plain (1600 metres), Mt Buller (1600 metres), Mt Buffalo (1400 metres), Mt Wills (1700 metres), and NSW Snowy Mountains-Charlottes Pass (1964 metres), and rolling hills along the way, riding beside rivers like the mighty Murray, Kiewa, Ovens, Mitta Mitta and Thredbo.

Happy Trails Cycling Adventures have rides from one day through to a seven day tour, or they can customise a tour to suit your group.

A challenge, outdoors camping or cabins, open roads or rail trails, or be indulged with five star accommodation and fine dining, or even combine and bike n hike, there is no doubt Victoria's High Country has it all.

The experienced team will be there with you all the way, supporting, encouraging and motivating, and sharing memorable experiences with new friends.
