Seasoned is The Stables' quarterly wine dinner celebrating the community of Yarra Valley food and wine producers that they are lucky to work with. This summer's edition sees them joining forces with Yarra Valley winemaker and master distiller Andrew Marks (The Wanderer, Melbourne Gin Company, Gembrook Hill Vineyard). If you did not know of Andrew’s activities, it would be fair to think there is a bit too much happening in the Gembrook Hill winery for such a humble Upper Yarra vineyard. In addition to Gembrook Hill’s releases, Andrew has his own label The Wanderer and a fun release coined El Wanderer which spawned from an annual trip to Catalonia to pick and press Carinyena (a native variety of the region). Andrew’s love of a good drink and a challenge birthed a project that has turned into something bigger than he could have imagined, the Melbourne Gin Company. Join from 7:00pm to kick off the evening with sparkling and canapés prior to taking your seat for an intimate and interactive dinner with Andrew Marks. The Stables will present a five course tasting menu to match a collection of Marks' wines including releases from Gembrook Hill, The Wanderer and Melbourne Gin Company.
