Overview

Events

Combine the best things in life in the Yarra Valley and Dandenong Ranges, with food, wine, the arts and nature coming together for memorable moments.

Joy in the Yarra Valley

Join locals and visitors in celebrating the bountiful offerings of the Yarra Valley. Dig into seasonal cuisine and attend cooking workshops at the Yarra Valley Food and Wine Festival. Sample new creations and chat with winemakers and brewers at the Yarra Valley Wine Show, the Great Southern Beer & Cider Festival, and the Kellybrook Cider Festival.

Looking for a good excuse for a weekend away? Don your work boots for Shedfest, when the Warburton Highway wineries dust off their sheds for fine wine and frivolity, or duck into winery restaurants for their annual shortest and longest lunches.

Music lovers have plenty to celebrate too. Rock up to Rochford Winery for A Day on the Green Summer Festival and join in the fun at the Cuban Jazz Festival in Yarra Glen. Bring your guitar to the Marysville Jazz and Blues Weekend and revel in the sounds of the Healesville Music Festival.

Nature's colours in the Dandenong Ranges

Rejoice in spring when the Dandenong Ranges burst with colour. The Tesselaar's Tulip Festival in September is a breathtaking display of tulips, freesias and daffodils, and the National Rhododendron Gardens' Rhododendron Festival is a profusion of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. For a peek into the region's lush private gardens, time your visit for one of the open garden events.

Climb aboard Puffing Billy and enjoy a journey through the forest to the sound of jazz, rhythm and blues.
