Plummeting 84 metres into the Steavenson River valley, the spectacular Steavenson Falls has been popular with visitors since the 1860s. Take an easy stroll to viewing platform at the base of the falls. For night owls and romantics, the path and falls are floodlit between dusk and midnight.
To get there, drive to Steavenson Falls car park, which is located three kilometres along bitumen on Falls Road, and walk 350 metres, past the turbine generator, to the viewing platform. Alternatively, take the Tree Fern Gully Trail, a scenic 3.4-metre (return walk) from Marysville.
